when i solved the T- P- i knew right away whether what I had was right or wrong.  will this also be the case when i try and work out the L- ? because I've been trying a good number of things and nothing seems to be sticking out.

It really does depend on how you're doing it. You might have the right interpretation of the L's, but be applying the concept in a way that won't help you solve the level. I found it best to come up with about 6 different ideas for applying the concept you need for the L's.

Of course, if you haven't got the right concept for the L's ... then this post will just confuse you.

alright I've been trying to keep it simple for a good while now and i'm still struggling. 

The r^ looks that way for a reason right?  That's the only thing I can really think of using at this point to get what I need to finally finish this thing.
